For this project, I developed the original brand identity for my personal graphic design business, Sharon By Design. The goal was to create a visual identity that reflects both my creative style and the values behind the brand while remaining flexible and professional for real world client work. The process began with defining the brand’s purpose, personality, and audience. Sharon By Design is rooted in the idea of meaningful, thoughtful design that feels approachable and expressive. The name was chosen as a tribute to my late grandmother, Sharon, who inspired my creativity, and it informed the brand’s emphasis on warmth, individuality, and intention. From there, I explored logo concepts that balanced playfulness with professionalism. I focused on creating a wordmark that felt memorable and inviting while remaining versatile across digital and print applications. Typography and form were refined to ensure clarity, scalability, and consistency. A supporting visual system was then developed, including a cohesive color palette and complementary type choices that allow the brand to feel creative without overwhelming the work itself. To apply the identity, I designed branded assets and mockups that demonstrate how Sharon By Design would appear in real world contexts, such as online platforms and client facing materials. These applications were created to showcase adaptability and to reinforce the brand as both personal and polished. This project represents my ability to translate personal inspiration into a strategic visual identity, demonstrating brand development skills that balance storytelling, design intention, and professional execution.
