Spritz & Sweets is a cookbook I designed as part of a repurposed book project, inspired by and dedicated to my MaMaw Vickie. Built on the framework of a blank hardcover book, this project challenged me to develop a cohesive visual and typographic system across the front cover, spine, back cover, table of contents, and three fully designed recipe spreads. The design process involved careful measurement of the book’s dimensions to ensure precise layout planning, with a strong emphasis on typographic hierarchy, layout composition, and editorial design. I combined original photography, curated color palettes, and thoughtful typesetting to bring each recipe to life in a way that feels both nostalgic and inviting. All files were prepared for print in Adobe InDesign using professional standards—including bleeds, margins, and CMYK color mode—while the final presentation was visualized through mockups. This project allowed me to blend meaningful storytelling with design fundamentals, creating a cookbook that’s both personal and polished.
